The house stood alone on a narrow path, a crisp white picket fence surrounded the red tainted house. The large porch window had a crack directly in the center, as you entered the scent of cinnamon greets you at the door. Michelle and her husband Andrew sat at the table ready to eat.
“Doesn’t this look great” Andrew said.
“ I guess” Michelle said.
“ You look great” Andrew said.
“ Yea I guess I do” Michelle said.
Michelle sat pushing her food around her plate, while Andrew looks hopefully at the ceiling, a fruit fly passes by Michelle’s face causing her to follow it with her eyes. As Michelle’s eyes drift following the fruit fly it causes Andrew to look at the bruised fruit in the center of the table.
“ Honey how long has this fruit been here?” Andrew said.
“ I don’t really know it was just there on day,” Michelle said.
“ Since you notice it now don’t … you just want to clean it up” Andrew said.
“ Yea I do, just waiting for the right time!” Michelle said.
“ Well I think now is a good time to get rid of fruit that’s unwanted” Andrew said.
“ You know what Andrew? Your right now is a great time to get rid of fruit that’s unwanted,” Michelle said sarcastically.
Michelle eagerly grabbed the fruit from the center of the table and gingerly walked over to the garbage disposal. Where she smirked as she dropped each fruit in mercifully. She threw the now empty fruit bowl out of the kitchen sink window, as she walked out of the kitchen she touched Andrew’s shoulder and looked at him straight into the eyes.
“Now Michelle was that so hard, I would have done it differently but at least it’s done,” Andrew said.
